Beautiful from every angle.
At Cadillac, we’ve created some of the world’s most dramatic automotive designs.
So it’s hardly surprising that when we unveil a new crossover, it has a presence
that makes everything else suddenly look a little tired. Enter the all-new 2011
Cadillac SRX Crossover, a luxury vehicle with almost limitless appeal. For
driving enthusiasts, there’s track-tuned handling, advanced engine power and the
added confidence of available All-Wheel Drive. Luxury lovers will delight in the
new stylish, handcrafted cabin. And for technophiles … well, suffice it to say that
the list of high-tech features is too long to detail here. The end result? A unique
driving experience that’s a beautiful thing no matter where you’re coming from. |
In every setting, the 2011 SRX turns heads and draws admiring glances. A rolling showcase of Cadillac’s highly evolved design philosophy; this vehicle raises the styling bar for every other crossover in the world. With its broad front and rear tracks, long wheelbase, short overhangs and sculpted alloy wheels, the new SRX’s stance and silhouette are fresh and contemporary. Its bold lines, crisp intersections and clean, pure surfaces point to the future of the industry. There are even a few details – the tail lights, say – that subtly echo and update iconic Cadillac design concepts. Bottom line: you won’t be able to take your eyes off it.
|
In addition to stylish vertical light pipes, SRX’s available Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights feature an adaptive lighting system. The lights swivel as you turn the steering wheel to help you see around corners and curves.
LED tail lights
SRX’s distinguishing LED tail lights provide brighter illumination and last up to 10 times longer than conventional bulbs. They also light up faster when you touch the brakes to provide earlier warning to following drivers.
The available Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights set a high standard for both style and function, with brilliant illumination and a jeweled appearance accented by light-pipe technology. For a final flourish, specify the available 20-inch aluminum wheels with their faceted design and glittering chrome finish.
From its unmistakable Cadillac grille to its LED tail lights, the 2011 SRX rewards close inspection. The gaps between body panels are so tight as to be nearly invisible – an indication of the engineers’ obsession with quality. A final clear paint coat provides a deep, lustrous and durable finish.

The handcrafted cabin of the new SRX is a feast for the senses. In a noisy world, triple door seals, a five-layer acoustic headliner and acoustically laminated windshield and side window glass give SRX a library-quiet ride. There’s the rich scent of fine leathers in the air, and premium surfaces – including genuine Sapele Pommele wood trim, if you wish – greet your hand. The seats have been designed for long-distance comfort and support and heaters integrated into the front buckets supplement the dual-zone automatic climate control system to ensure your comfort even in the coldest weather. |
 |
SRX employs some of the industry’s very latest technologies to keep you informed, connected, entertained and firmly in control. Integral to the striking analogue gauge cluster is a full-colour, high-resolution graphic display that provides information on everything from fuel consumption to tire pressure. It can even alert you about upcoming curves and changes in the speed limit.* XM Satellite RadioTM,** iPod® integration, Bluetooth® mobile phone connectivity and a Bose Centerpoint® audio system are all standard equipment. There’s also an available pop-up Navigation System that includes a Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround® audio system and a 40 GB hard drive capable of storing thousands of songs and audio books |
 |
| Inside the new SRX, you’ll find a place for virtually everything you could possibly want to
carry. For larger items, SRX offers a 1733-litre cargo bay* with a flat load floor. There’s also
an available U-Rail system that allows you to adjust tie-down points to ensure that all cargo
items stay exactly where they belong. Skis and other long objects are easily accommodated
with the rear seats in position, thanks to a convenient pass-through. Cargo nets help
secure smaller items. Additional storage compartments are found under the rear cargo
floor, in the centre console, in the front and rear doors and in the backs of the front seats. |
 |
Consider, if you will, three examples of how SRX makes life easier, more convenient and simply more pleasurable. When you wish to carry large items – snowboards, say, or bicycles – outside the vehicle, standard rails on the roof make it a simple matter to attach the appropriate rack or cargo box. Then there’s the available power-operated liftgate. Not only does it make loading and unloading easier, it can also be programmed to open to a pre-set height – a very useful feature for those who park in garages with low ceilings. Finally, SRX’s available power sliding UltraView roof. Measuring in at roughly twice the size of a conventional sunroof, it allows you to share the pure pleasure of open-air driving with both front and rear passengers. |
 |
| SRX’s available UltraView roof opens over both the first and
second seating rows. It also includes a power sunshade to help
reduce dazzle on the sunniest days. |

A 3.0-litre V6 that generates 265 horsepower, meets rigorous emissions standards and delivers miserly fuel consumption? A few short years ago it would have been impossible. Yet thanks to cutting-edge technologies like Direct Injection and Variable Valve Timing (VVT), the standard SRX engine not only does all this, it does it with the kind of smoothness and refinement you expect in a Cadillac. For even greater performance, SRX also offers an available turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 engine that puts out a stirring 300 horsepower and 295 pounds-feet of torque.* No matter which engine you choose, your SRX will feature the performance, efficiency and control of a precision-engineered six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control. |
 |
6-speed automatic
The 6-speed automatic transmission paired with SRX’s available
turbocharged 2.8L V6 includes an Eco Mode. It modifies shift points to
help maximize efficiency and extract the most from every drop of fuel. |
 |
Before Cadillac’s engineers gave the new SRX the green light to drive around your block, they put it through its paces on some of the most grueling roads and racetracks in the world. The result is a blend of agility, balance and precise steering response previously unknown in the luxury crossover class. Enthusiastic drivers will be particularly interested in the available Sport Suspension, which features continuously variable real-time damping. SRX also offers an available precision-engineered ZF Servotronic® steering system which delivers just the right amount of assist at every speed, for outstanding feel. For the ultimate in handling, choose the low-profile 20-inch tires mounted on unique aluminum wheels. |
 |
Why let a little rain, sleet or snow stand in your way when you have the new SRX’s available All-Wheel-Drive system at your disposal? Featuring the latest in torque transfer technology, this advanced system assesses the available traction and other driving conditions 100 times every second and adjusts the distribution of torque to the front and rear wheels to maximize grip, control and balance. SRX’s All-Wheel-Drive system also includes an electronic limited slip rear differential – a class exclusive* – which can send up to 100 percent of the available power to just a single rear wheel should the conditions demand it. You’ll wonder how you ever negotiated winter driving conditions without it. |
 |
Nothing in life is risk-free. But when you drive a 2011 SRX, it’s comforting to know the odds are stacked in your favor. SRX is engineered to help you avoid danger with features like StabiliTrak® electronic stability control, rollover mitigation and an advanced four-wheel disc braking system. In a collision, front and rear crush zones, a safety cage featuring high strength steel components and a total of six air bags are there to protect you and your passengers from dangerous crash energy. And should you need emergency services after an accident, SRX’s OnStar® system can dispatch them to your location automatically.* All of which raises the question: Why would you choose to take chances with anything else? |
